I'll Be Home For Christmas

Christmas is always a big holiday for my family, we all get together on Christmas Eve and have an amazing dinner prepared by my aunt. I could not wait to see my cousins and do some catching up. We love taking pictures and fight about who gets to sit next to who at the dinner table. lCe, sCm, and I sat in the kitchen and enjoyed our meals while the grownups sat in the dinning room. We enjoyed the 7 fishes, pasta with shrimp, broccoli rolls, green beans, cheeses, mashes potatoes, and other various foods. But of course dessert was my favorite and I filled my plate with cookies, cakes, and fruit tarts.

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas, now lets bring on the New Year!

Big Lights Will Inspire You

Let's hear it for New York

Last week I was able to go into NYC with my mom and our wonderful family friend. We went to watch p0f's adorable granddaughter mOs. I had SO much fun with that little cutie and boy did she make me laugh. We bundled up mOs  and went for a walk around the city.

Don't you just love the city life? Cars bumper to bumper and honking even when there is nowhere to go. The smells from the hot dog and pretzels stand. The street venders. People walking their dogs. Which reminds me of when we walked past a dog groomer/dog-sitting place and saw this...

Look at the left side of the picture. Let's just say the yorkies weren't behaving themselves. Have no fear I quickly covered up mOs 's eyes! Next it's time for lunch and pOf tells us we should go to Chelsea Market so we go and look around there. That's when I spotted this amazing display of lights

It was so amazing. And when you walked under the lights you could feel the heat! Now it's time to get back to the apartment and time to play!

"SANTAAAA! I know him, I know him!"

So sorry for not posting since last week but... Christmas is almost here! All those good little boys and girls only have a few more days till Santa Clause (or Ho Ho as he is called in my house) comes. I have to make a last minute shopping trip today and maybe I will stop by and take a picture with Santa... or maybe not.

I just love walking through malls and seeing all the Christmas decorations and those shoppers that run through the mall getting this year's hot ticket item. I just absolutely love Christmas.

So let the Christmas music play through my macbook as I pack for New Jersey and lets hope the mall isn't too busy and that I can get what I need to and be in and out.

Forever In My Heart

My best friend would have turned 20 today. We would have celebrated this together. We would have done a lot of things. But we only had 10 years to be together.

"We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another."

My cousin Paula died of a brain tumor when she was 10 years of age. Since then I have thought about all we would have done together and now being older it hits me everyday that she can't be there for me when I need her and that she isn't a phone call away. As I pack my things for home I think of how exciting it would have been for both of us to come home from college and share all our wonderful stories together. Of how we had to stay up late and study in the library and what we were planning to do that weekend. We could escape the boring adult conversations and drive away and do whatever we wanted. We could share good reads or discuss our recent purchases at the mall. We could lay out at the pool together and watch her younger sisters. We could discuss our crazy Italian family through facebook and video chat each other while enjoying late night snacks.
But I lost her and I will never be able to do these things with her. She won't be able to be in my wedding or see her sisters take their first joyride. I miss her everyday and all I can do is ask, "why?" I love you Paula so much and I wish I could call you right now so you could make me happy. I need you more than ever.

"The guardian angels of life fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us. "

And I just wish I would have had more time with you. Time where you could have grown up to be a wonderful girl that I know you would be. You are my angel and I love you. But I miss you and I want you here with me.

"I'll love you forever, I'll love you for always, As long as I'm living, My angel you'll be."

I'll never forget you.

So Long, Fair Well!!!

My Mommy told me that once I turned 20 I was no longer allowed to like Miley Cyrus. My mom said she was too young and a teeny bopper. I thought that this would be the end of the world. How could I ever NOT like SMILEY?? I mean... she is just so awesome.

Well news flash! I CAN'T STAND HER ANYMORE!!! Mommy was right! No more liking Miley Cyrus for this girl! I have graduated on to better disney stars like Demi Lovato oh and Nick Jonas and the Administration (:

{Plus as my sweet puts it: "She looks like a homeless person with a mustache."}

{you were drinking at your 17th birthday party, you're so cool}

"A women who doesn't wear perfume has no future." - Coco Chanel

Every Christmas I like to invest in a new perfume, this year I'm thinking Juicy Couture or Lola by Marc by Marc Jacobs. One perfume I will definitely NOT be getting is the awful scent some girl just sprayed all over herself in the library.

Oh Brother.

"I smile because you are my brother. I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it."

Brother likes watching Gossip Girl. And now he is listening to Glee Cast songs. Big Brother sends me youtube videos on facebook and sends me texts that say "love you." But he sends it after he makes fun of me.
He is really great. And he is mine.

"It was nice growing up with someone like you. Someone to lean on, someone to count on, and of course someone to tell on."

Current Read:

The day Monica learns that her lovable, brilliant threeyear- old son, Wills, has autism spectrum disorder, she takes him to buy an aquarium. It’s the first in a string of impulsive trips to the pet store to buy animals as a distraction from the uncontrollable, crushing reality of Wills’s diagnosis. But while Wills diligently tends to the growing menagerie, what he really wants is a puppy. And one Christmas, when Wills is six, Cowboy Carol Lawrence joins their family.
Like all dynamic duos, Cowboy and Wills complement each other perfectly. Wills is cautious, fastidious, and irresistibly tenderhearted. Cowboy, a rambunctious golden retriever, is overeager, affectionate, and impulsive. And from the moment Cowboy enters their lives, Monica sees her son step a little farther into the world.
Soon, the boy who could barely say hello to his classmates in kindergarten is sharing stories of his new “sister” Cowboy during morning circle. Children crowd around them at the park, and instead of running away, Wills, holding Cowboy’s leash in his sweaty fist, proudly answers all of their questions. With Cowboy, he finds the courage to invite kids over for playdates, overcomes his debilitating fear of water to swim along beside her in the family pool, and, after years of gentle coaxing, Wills finally sleeps in his own bed with Cowboy’s paws draped across his small chest. Through it all, Cowboy is there, dragging him toward other children, giving him the confidence to try new things and the courage to face his worst fears. And when Cowboy turns out to need her new family as much as they need her, they discover just how much she has taught them—about devotion, about loyalty, and about never giving up.

Sometimes it’s what you don’t know to hope for that saves you. For Monica, her husband, Michael, and their son, Wills, salvation came in the form of a puppy with pale blonde fur, chocolate brown eyes, a fondness for chewing the crotch out of underpants, and a limitless capacity for love.

{Taken from Monica Holloway}

I got this book to read on the plane and it is AMAZING! Since I am studying to become and Elementary teacher I thought this book would be very good for me to read. I have loved every page so far. It's not just want the mom can buy for her son, Wills but the fact that what these pets can do for Wills. He begins to develop into the sweet, bright boy his mother always knew he would be. If you enjoy reading books about dogs then I would definitely recommend this book to you. It is a little pricey because it is a hardback book but... it is so worth it!
Has anyone else read this? Or would you care to share your current read?

"Can you go on ichat for 5 minutes?"

I hear this sentence at least 2 times a day from my little cousin L.C.E.
And of course 5 minutes turns into an hour.

Video chatting has changed my life and is such a fantastic invention. Thank you apple.
Because of v.c. I am able to keep in touch with my cousin and be apart of her everyday life.
My cousin L.C.E. and I have wonderful conversations together.
We discuss 6th grade boys and her bff of the week.
Her life seems so simple but there is plenty of 6th grade drama included.
And let me tell you, my 11 year old cousin tells the  BEST stories.

I can't wait till our next video chat date (:

I love you Munchkin.

Let There Be Light.

Christmas lights have been hung in my dorm sweet dorm this past week.
I can't believe how much light they add to the room and I just love being in my room when they are on.
It gives off that Christmas feel and now that it is AFTER Thanksgiving I can OFFICIALLY listen to Christmas music and start putting up my decorations!

Oh and Roomz if you are reading this, we need to step up our Christmas Spirit (:

New Girl Crush:

Dianna Agron

Can we be friends? I love you.

She plays Quinn in Glee and I find her absolutely adorable.
In the most recent episode that I watched Quinn's boyfriend, Finn sings "You're havin' my baby" at her parent's dinner table. Awkward meet and greet? Yes, I think so.
While it was a sweet gesture, it did not end well for Quinn. Her Dad kicked her and this is when tears filled my eyes and I was sobbing though the rest of the episode. I think I am going to go buy this week's episode so I can get up-to-date.

A Wonderful Christmastime

It's sad to admit this seeing as it isn't even after Thanksgiving but I have given in and started listening to Christmas music. With all the decorations my school has put up it's kind of hard not to get into "the Christmas Spirit" a little early. Plus, the courtyard outside my room has been playing Christmas music... it's only a matter of time now till the promenade joins in on the fun... oh wait the nutcrackers are already up.

The outside of my dorm decorated for Christmas:

Because Real Men Don't Sparkle.

Raise your hand if you saw New Moon this weekend.
Now keep your hand raised if you saw it at MIDNIGHT.
Your hand better still be raised.

Oh the joys of seeing an anticipated movie so late at night.
Well more importantly seeing Taylor Lautner half-naked in almost the entire movie.

To this movie I had to be TEAM JACOB.
Don't get me wrong, I love Edward but he left Bella and Jacob was there for her.
After seeing the movie I spent the whole weekend re-reading New Moon and I'm debating if I should read another book or just go right on into Eclipse.

Here are some pictures of my shirt:

The includes some of my favorite Jacob Black quotes but here are the ones that I love that didn't make my shirt:
"Did you seriously just stamp your foot, I thought girls only did that on t.v.!"
"Here's to responsibility, twice a week."
"Sorry I don't have leeches on my speed dial."
"I told him you were planning on corrupting my youthful innocence."

And what about all those funny quotes from the movie!? Yes I was one of the girls that had my phone out during the movie so I could make a note of all the quotes.

" Dating an older woman, that's hot!" -Emmett
"Age is just a number baby, what are you like forty?" -Jacob

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend!

This Week...

Monday has arrived.
Some like to think Monday's are horrible because the weekend is over and now you have 5 days until the next one. (I might be one of those people but only on occasion.) Well my week is pretty busy but for once I am welcoming Monday with open arms. Monday means a new week and a fresh start. It means that Gossip Girl is on ( yes Daddy I am watching Gossip Girl tonight, but don't worry I will have my homework and studying done before it comes on. Thanks for checking up on me.) Monday nights are always fun in my dorm because my girlfriends and I sit in my room and for 1 hour we try our best not to talk but when scandals are going down in the Upper East Side it's kind of hard not to.
And then on Tuesday I am going to help out with Extreme Makeover Home Edition!!! I am apart of a group called "Teachers of Tomorrow or TOT for short. As a TOT member I was asked to volunteer my time to help out a family in need. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is a wonderful show and I am so excited that I get to have this once in a life time opportunity!
Wednesday is the day for being a GLEEK and for downloading Glee Cast songs on i-tunes.
Thursday TOT is meeting and then I will be watching New Moon clips on youtube (and obviously I will be doing this AFTER class and homework.) And then at night I have an SGA meeting to attend and then I am going to see the midnight premiere of NEW MOON. Pause for thinking about Taylor Launter and his line, "Does my being half naked bother you?" ..... Ok now I'm back.
Is it Friday already? Only one class that day (:

So here's to a fantastic but busy week. I hope y'all enjoy it.

Oh hi Taylor.

Dear John,

I just watched the trailer for this movie and made my "sweet" mates watch it as well. THIS LOOKS AMAZING! I really want to go see it but I don't think I will be able to wait until February, so I think what I will do is go buy the book and read it on my trip to go back home. I think that sounds like a solid plan. And the fact that Channing Tatum is in this movie just makes it about 100 times BETTER!

Here is the synopsis:

An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life--until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who captured his heart. But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else. "Dear John," the letter read...and with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives were changed forever. Returning home, John must come to grips with the fact that Savannah, now married, is still his true love--and face the hardest decision of his life.

Thank You for Being Just a Girl in a City!

Dear Kelly,

Thank you for:
 being my new Blogger friend.
my new beautiful header, it is so perfect!
not getting irritated at all the emails I sent you and for all the help you gave me.

being a wonderful girl living in a fantastic city.

Please check out Kelly's blog. It is one of the nice things in life.

This is my blogger post monologue... (la,la,la)

My Mom told me this was hilarious so I caved in and watched it.
Despite T-Swizzle's other upsetting acts this was a good one.
But Taylor, no more hating on Joe Jonas. Ok?
Because you have Taylor Lautner and he can turn into a
werewolf and Joe Jonas cannot (:

“A Sunday well-spent brings a week of content.”

Oh hello Sunday, it's me Caroline. I just wanted to let you know that today we are going to follow my to do list and cross off everything on it. We are going to work hard today and get started early so that we can relax later tonight. What do you think, Sunday? I think it sounds like a great idea.

Why does everyone hate sundays? Oh maybe because it's not actually a day of rest but just the opposite? Or maybe people actually like cleaning up their rooms, doing laundry, and studying. I know I do! Not. But thank you  Sunday for arriving, even though you aren't the best day of the week I'm glad you are here.

Happy Sunday! Now lets get to work!

"Get Down from your Tree House Sittin' in the Sky"

Does anyone remember that classic song from B-Witched, "C'est La Vie?" I can remember blasting it on my stereo and dancing around the room with my friends. Oh wait, maybe that's what I'm doing right now...

I wish I had a tree house in the sky where I could just disappear for awhile. Maybe read a book on a far away land as I drink lemonade and be carefree. I think that sounds wonderful. I think I want to go there right now. If only I could. Well that was fun, back to reality. Happy Friday and hello weekend. I'm really glad you decided to how up.

Sweet as Candy

I like the yellow, blue, and pink gumballs.

Tonight The Extraordinaire Cinema is showing "The Notebook" at 7 pm. I think I am going to go and watch Noah and Allie fall in love in this amazing movie. And I will watch the movie with the free candy that our concession stand gives out.

Noah: I'm gonna ask you one more time, will you or will you not go out with me? I think my hand's slipping.
Allie: OK, OK. Fine I'll go out with you
Noah: No, don't do me any favors.
Allie: No, no I want to.
Noah: Say it.
Allie: I wanna go out with you.
Noah: Say it again.
Allie: I WANNA GO OUT WITH YOU!
Noah: All right, all right we'll go out.

Don't you just love this movie?!?!?!

I Wish I Had a Fairy Godmother...

I'm waiting for a miracle to happen. I'm not going to say what it is but when it does I will be sure to share some details. Every week I feel closer to this something wonderful I hope someone else wants this something wonderful to happen as much as I do (:

I wish I had a fairy godmother. Then I wouldn't have to wait for the next chapter of my life and I could just skip to the good chapters of my life. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Dreams do come true. I just want to start my happy ending now.

For the Love of Headbands

Jennifer Behr Crystal-Encrusted Headband

Jennifer Behr trained as a sculptor before turning her hand to millinery and later, to hair accessories. Her artistic sensibility is apparent in her imaginative designs, like this utterly wow padded headband. Each takes two hours to construct because all the work is done by hand (how delightfully old school, right?). Those Swarovski crystals are stitched on one-by-one (with cotton thread Behr waxes herself!), meaning no two pieces are alike. The unique results are worthy of a princess, which is exactly how you’d feel with this sparkler perched on your pretty little head.

$725; at jenniferbehr.com

Does this not remind y'all of the headband that B crowned Little Jenny Humphrey with? I WANT!

Happy Birthday to My Dear Friend

My wonderful friend j.C.m. has turned TWENTY! Happy Birthday to you Jodi! I am so blessed to call you a friend and know that you will always be there for me no matter what. I look forward to the days and nights that we spend together and all of our "coffee talks." You are so special me and I am so happy we met. While we have only know each other for a year it seems like a lifetime and I know it will turn out to be just that. We have the best talks and you can always make me laugh. I love that I can see you at school and back home where we are only 25 minutes from each other.

"God bless the broken road that lead me straight to you."

One of the best things about you is that you always listen to me and never interrupt. And you give me the best advice and when I just need to be cheered up you can do that and more. You are an amazing rapper and no one can disagree. You are the classiest girl I know and are so collected about everything which is what I love about you. You are my #1 J.Crew lover as well as being my crazy obsessed Pittsburgh Penguin friend.

I love you so much and I am so happy to know you. I hope your birthday was all that you hoped for.

"We are all angels with only one wing...we can fly only embracing each other."

Thank you for being you.

I'm headed to the Burgh trick

HOMEWARD BOUND!!!!!!!
The shuttle is taking me to Raleigh so I can wait 4 hours till my 3:30 pm flight. Luckily I stocked up on magazines, books, and I made a fantastic playlist.

I asked myself this morning, "What would Blair Waldorf wear to an airport?" I soon found out. Have a wonderful Friday!
