One of my favorite bloggers is hosting ANOTHER giveaway!
I have now just heard about Nico and Lala and I'm already obsessed!

From College Prepster's blog:

Nico and LaLa is the NEXT BIG THING! And they're totally "font" people. If you're a font person, you know what I mean :-)

Here's what they say about the company on their facebook page:

With our sassy sense of humor and creativity, we have decided to focus on what we love, which is creating swanky, southern, and sophisticated swag!!

Ummmm.... College Prepster wants to be BFF with the two of them!!!

Okay, Okay... GIVEAWAY time! Because they're so awesome, Nico and LaLa are giving away TWO prizes. So that means TWO winners!!!

(prepare to swoon!!!)

ACK

For two summers in a row, my family was lucky to visit the wonderful, preppy, Nantucket Island. {Known to many as ACK, named after the Nantucket Memorial Airport.} I'm now dreaming of when I get to go back. One of the things I loved most about Nantucket was the front doors of the houses. The doors tell their own story, and by that I mean that most of the doors have signs above them which are from old ships. The signs are the names of the ships but have now been moved above the front door. It's quite unique and makes every door stand out in a different way.

This is by far my favorite door on the Island.

Have you ever been to Nantucket?
If so, what are your favorite places to visit? What do you like best about it?
Happy Thursday! We've almost made it to Friday :)

Believe in COLOR.

Ever since I saw these Kate Spade ads I knew one thing...

I MUST get ahold of a pair of colored tights.
Well I dreamed and dreamed about them and then I visited the Kate Spade outlet store and...

TA DAAAA
Dreams DO come true!
I can't wait to wear these little beauties on my legs in the fall and winter.

Look, even my favorite show GG believes in color:

Happy Hump Day!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

What's that? I don't have enough Nike Tempo Track shorts
You're right, I don't.
Roomie and I are trying to collect as many as we can between the two of us.
So exciting.
Love these shorts, I practically live in them.
These shorts take over the field hockey field, bus trips, library, student center, etc.
You name it, they are there.

Step-by-Step

One of my friends from school asked me how I made my canvases I have in my room at school.
I figured it would be easiest to show a step-by-step instructions and share it will y'all.
So here it goes, your guide to making fun canvases!

Here's what you'll need:1 canvas (any size), paint, sponge paintbrush, pencil, paper plate,
paint pen(s), ribbon, newspaper, a favorite quote, and a hot glue gun
Next, paint your canvas.
I usually try and get about 3 coats on the canvas so that the color really shows.
***Make sure it dries well!
If you're not sure what to write on your canvas then head over to We Heart It
that's where I get all of my quotes from!
Print out the quote and make it big enough that it covers most of the canvas.
It's time to get out the pencil!
Flip the quote over and with the pencil, color over the words.
Make sure the coloring/shading of the words is dark!
It looks like this:
Now, flip the quote back over and place the quote on top of the dried canvas.
Trace over the words and remember to add a bit of pressure!
As you trace over the words, they will begin to appear on the canvas!
*** {Move your screen back so you can see the whole quote! And the darker the color the harder you have to press with the pencil
 so that it shows up!}
Now you're ready to use the paint pen(s).
I chose just to use white.
With a paint pen, you have to remember to shake and press down every so often.
But don't press down too hard or you will end up with too much paint!
I usually go over the words a few times.
Especially because the first time you go over the words, the color of the pen will be mixed with pencil!
I don't always add ribbon but I thought my canvas was too big and needed a little something!
With your hot glue gun, carefully glue on the ribbon.
{I got burned a few times, OUCH!}
Flip the canvas over if you want to add ribbon on the back so you can hang it!
Use you're hot glue gun again!
*** Make sure the ribbon that you glue on the back is even!!!
If you don't want to add ribbon, you don't have to!
You can just prop up the canvas against something!
{That's what I did.}
Now you are ready to enjoy your canvas!
See, that wasn't so hard!!!
Happy Crafting :)

iPad

Look what arrived earlier this week!!!
I'm already obsessed with it.
Changing all the settings.
Adding all the apps.
So worth the cost.

What's my favorite feature you ask?
Well, lets enter my photos I uploaded today.
Here are the 5 photo albums I currently have stored on my iPad...
And here's what it looks like when I want to view 1 of the albums.
Pretty cool, huh?

Or how about for the book worm?
Do you like to read a lot?
Don't worry, just click on your library and pick a book from the bookshelf!
Obviously I don't have a good variety of books to choose from but,
the 5 books that are on the shelf were all free!
And when I want to buy a book, I simply click the store button and start shopping!

{Sorry for the glare in the pictures! And yes the pictures were taken
from Photo Booth so therefore they are mirrored images.}

Happy Friday!!!!

Running Man, I Mean Woman

So this morning was day 1 of conditioning for field hockey before I get back to school.
It's time to get serious, it's time to run.
Hello sun, hello heat.

I went on my old loop from high school.
It went... well it went ok.
Then it was time for a blend of abs and yoga.

Time for a cool down with my BFF, Gatorade.
Gatorade: Drink of Champions

Hopefully tomorrow goes better and that I can keep this morning workout
going before heading off to Nanny.

T is for Tuesday

Big Brother is away so we swapped macs and I get to use this beauty for the week! I thought it needed some Little Sister touches to it so right away I went to People, Perez, J. Crew and We Heart it. Now I'm feeling right at home, but I do really miss my macbook.

With less than a month left before school my "to do" lists have gone a little overboard. I have created lists on my Blackberry, iTouch, and on multiple pieces of paper, WILL IT EVER STOP???

T is for Tuesday. I need to:
- send out letters to family members, just to say hello!
- finish blogging for the week
- print out pictures from Bridal Shower
- try and figure out how to sell some things on Ebay
- hopefully finish my 9th book of the summer, it's a slow read...
- get organized and combine all my "to do" lists.

And I need to complete this list before I babysit at 3... what a laugh.

* Oh, did anyone watch The Bachelorette last night? Are you Team Roberto? or Team Chris? I haven't decided yet, I like both!

Happy Tuesday Readers!

Oh Happy Day

Happy Friday!
{pic}

I got off Nannying early today so I have plenty reasons to celebrate the weekend. After being sick for the week I'm ready to hangout with friends and enjoy the sweet summertime.
- Perhaps I'll cool off at the pool or drink some lemonade as I read The Summer We Read Gatsby on my back deck.
- Or maybe I'll go see Eclipse again with my good friend J.
- Go for a run?
- Arts and Crafts anyone?
- Shopping?
- Work on my field hockey tricks?
- Spending time with family?

On Monday, I'll post about my recent purchases (:
So much to do, I hope you have a wonderful weekend, I know I really need it!!!
