"Oh Miss Caroline, Miss Caroline!!!!"

Today, I finished my practicum work with my 2nd graders.
It was a sad to say goodbye to those sweet children.
I have learned so much in the 15 hours I was there and I'm so thankful for the teacher I was placed with.
She even said I could come back next year!

In my 15 hours I have:
- had children come and tattle on their classmates (ok, I did it too when I was younger)
- worked with 3 great girls and helped them with reading
- taught students about probability
- made a card for a mom who brought in water
- graded TONS and TONS of work
- decorated bulletin boards
-run errands for my teacher
- been asked to show the girls how to place your hands on your hips when taking class pictures
- played learning games
- struggled with remembering how to count coins
- had the BEST experience learning

Thanks to all the teachers out there for doing such a great job!

The Power of Glee.

After watching the latest Glee episode (3 times to be exact)  I think it's safe to say that "The Power of Madonna" is my favorite episode to date. The music and choreography is amazing! After buying the episode I had to buy the songs and I have them on repeat now. If you haven't see this episode go to hulu now!!!

Like a Prayer is by far my favorite song from the episode so I thought I would share it with you:

{For some reason the video is backwards.}

Another favorite song of mine is Borderline/Open Your Heart:

 What were your favorite songs?
I have a feeling Rachel and Finn are going to get back together.
Fingers crossed!!!

And Sue's famous quote, "Ya think this is hard? I'm passing a gallstone as we speak. THAT'S HARD!"

settle down Sue.

Just Call Me, Yogi Bear.

I've been slacking on my yoga updates, but today calls for a celebration
as I have mastered a very intense yoga pose!!!
{Babar
It was such a great feeling after I realized I was inches from the ground
and relying on my arm strength to keep me from falling.
Ladies and Gents, I have mastered the "Mountain Climber."
{applause, applause}
Now of course I couldn't find a proper picture so this is a picture of
"Eka Pada Koundiyanasana I" which is very similar except the leg
 that is sideways is suppose to be bent.
Here are some of my favorite poses this week:
This pose is similar to a back bend bridge but with one leg raised.
NOT EASY!

Extended Hand-To-Big-Toe Pose
Eagle Pose
Half Moon Pose
Warrior III Pose
Revolved Triangle Pose
Lord of the Dance Pose

And as always... Namaste

{all pics from Yoga Journal}

oh guess what... TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Hopping down the bunny trail...
Well Easter has come and is almost gone but I have had the most wonderful day.
I woke at 7:15, feeling just like Eloise on Christmas Eve morning.
{No jingle bells were included.}
Before I went to bed I set up my presents so that they would be the first thing I saw when I woke up.
BIG smiles.
Then it was time to do some damage.
Gotta love it.
Wanna see the loot?
Hi little pretties.
Chocolate, welcome back into my life.
Amazing Anthropologie dress my Mommy picked out.
Miss Lilly Pultizer showed up!
Now it's time for brunch:
Squinty eyes.
Just a little stuffed after eating too much of this:
Carrot cake, red velvet cake, and raspberry creme cheesecake.
yummy!!!
Time to stare at the architecture:

The brunch was held at The Grandover Resort.
It was beautiful and I hope to go back!
Trying to be like HPU, obviously.
Video chatted with my munchkin:
Bawled my eyes out when I went to see The Last Song.
Dumb Miley.
Liam, I love you. Come to High Point.

Throwback Easter Sunday picture:
Cause who wouldn't want to do karate in their dress and bonnet???

Ok, Easter is over.

Marco, Polo!

This is where I spent my afternoon.
And I got free ice cream.
Oh the life of a college student.
87 today.
HP reading is going great, I'll probably finish it tomorrow or Sunday.
All this reading makes me want to watch the 6th movie.
If only I was home I would be having a HP marathon at my 2nd home.
Oh well.
THIRTY THREE DAYS TILL I GO HOME!!!!!!

I Just Smile.

I've been re-reading HP 7 for the billionth time this week and loving every minute of it.
People stare at me as I crack up turning the pages in the courtyard.
{I just smile.}
Last night I had field hockey practice.
I killed everyone in sprints.
{This always makes me smile.}
Someone stole my Sidney Crosby pin off my backpack.
My Penguins lost last night 2-0.
p.s. I'm in the background of this pic.
{I will smile when I get my pin back.}
Talked on the phone to one of my bffs.
She called me a minute later after hanging up.
{I just smile.}
I received two easter packages yesterday.
My dad individually wrapped everything in the box.
But I'm waiting to open them on Sunday.
{This makes me smile ear to ear.}

April starts National Poetry Month.
My Professor gave me a "Poem in your Pocket" card.

"A hundred years from now
It will not matter
What my bank account was,
The sort of house I lived in,
Or the kind of car I drove.
But the world may be a better place because
I was important in the life of a child."
-Forest Witcraft

{Becoming a teacher makes me smile.}

Keeping Smiling.
