Thank You, Harry

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 has come and gone.
It was a bittersweet moment for me and one I'll never forget.
I have grown up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione and like many others, I wish I went to Hogwarts.
It was a place I could escape to when I read and somewhere that was always worry free.
I haven't read any other book that has made me feel like that so it was an emotional weekend for me when the movie finally came out. So thank you, J.K. Rowling for giving me the Boy Who Lived.

Don't forget to practice your spells!

Congrats To The Grad

Recently I went to The Brownstone House to celebrate my cousin's graduation from high school. The food was fabulous as always and the company was even better. The party was held in the Grand Conservatory which is absolutely magnificent. I've been to this room before and I have to say it's one of my favorite rooms at The Brownstone.

If you've ever been to The Brownstone then you know I'm not lying when I say the food is the best I've ever had. Some of the appetizers I enjoyed were, crab claws, shrimp, meats and cheeses, and sliders. For dinner I had, pasta with broccoli rabe, risotto, calamari, and caesar salad. And let's not forget to mention the desserts! Saving the best for last, I inhaled a hot belgian waffle with cookies and cream ice cream, champagne grapes, a few chocolate covered strawberries, watermelon, and a sprinkle cookie.

I had such a fabulous time with my relatives and it's always so much fun to see them. Anytime we get together it's like a family reunion. The photographer at the party was great and let us take a few cousin shots. Overall it was a great night and I wish it never ended! Congrats to my cousin on her graduation!

Nailed It!

By now I'm sure you have  heard of the Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips, but has anyone actually USED them? Well, I just did and I LOVE them!

There is a good variety of colors to choose from but since it was my first time I decided to go with a neon pink color called, "It Girl." I thought the pink would be perfect for summer and it adds the perfect "pop" to any outfit. I'll admit I was a little nervous when I applied them but each nail got easier as I went along. There are 16 strips included in the box and they are all different sizes which makes sense because no one has the same nail size. The strips are suppose to last 10 days and can be taken off with nail polish remover... I'll let you know how easy it comes off! From start to finish the whole process probably took me 15 minutes... I was a little nervous.

I am very pleased with the turn out and can't wait to go get more colors!
Have you tired any of the Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips?

Book Worm

Summer means endless reading on my back deck while soaking up some sun rays. I absolutely love to read the only problem is that a normal book of 300 pages lasts me for about 2 days. {I'm a very quick reader.} So I always have to make sure my iPad is loaded with books to keep me entertained.

Recently I read:

This book was fabulous! It was a very quick read, definitely a fun beach read. I've only read a few Nicholas Sparks' books but after reading The Lucky One, I want to read them all! And did you know this book is going to be made into a movie? But promise me you'll read the book first!

This next book might not be for everyone but if you enjoy the Harry Potter series, Twilight series, and Maximum RIde series then do I have a book for you! Just like the 3 other series I mentioned, this series is found under young adult but I promise you, EVERYONE is reading them. I found out about the series from my older cousin and she loved these books. I was a little skeptical at first because the books are about children from 12- 18 fighting in the hunger games and the only winner is the last person standing. But... give it a chance and you might end up enjoying it like I did! It's also going to be made into a movie!

Currently reading:

Meg Cabot is one of my favorite authors. The way she writes her books are so entertaining, the text is written through emails! How clever! My favorite books written by Cabot are Boy Meets Girl and Boy Next Door.

UPDATE: I FINISHED E.B.G.O. THIS AFTERNOON. LOOOVED IT!

Have you read any of these books or by the authors? What are you reading now?
Have a great weekend!

Picture Perfect

Here's a quick recap of what I've been doing since my summer has started:

I went to a derby party with BFF Believe Me and our friends! It was so much fun to dress up and wear the perfect hat! Unfortunately it was kind of cold outside so we stayed inside by the food most of the night.

Lilly Ladies

Check out all the great dresses and hats!

My cousin is getting married in the fall and I'm one of her bridesmaids! I was so excited when she asked me and it's been a lot of fun to discuss all the planning with her. Here is her first bridal shower that we had in the North Jersey Country Club (aka where the HUGE fight broke out between RHONJ Danielle, Teresa, and Ashley!)

Speaking of Bridesmaids, has anyone seen the movie? I saw it with two friends this week and couldn't stop laughing! If you haven't seen it yet then you must!

It's Almost Been A Month.... WHAT?!

I can't believe the last time I blogged was April 30th, that's INSANE! I knew I would take some time off for the end of the year and to pack to go home but never did I think I would take this long!!! And now it's almost the end of May, where did May go? After getting many complaints from a certain someone.... cough cough Chelsey... I promise to get back on my normal blogging schedule! So after further adieu here's the first blog post for May:
