The Golden Globes

Ok, who watched the G.G. last night? Everyone? Thought so. This year I was actually interested to see what movies and tv shows won instead of just watching to see the fashion. Let me just say, I was extremely disappointed when Inception and the King's Speech didn't win everything they were nominated for. I have yet to see The Social Network but apparently it's good because it went home with a few awards. Now lets get on to the fashion!

Here are some of my favorites:

Lea Michelle

Amber Riley

Anne Hathaway

Mila Kunis

Natalie Portman
Ok, actually I HATE the rose but I think the dress
looks beautiful on her and shows off her baby bump!

Olivia Wilde
Who wouldn't LOVE this dress! And check out those heels!

Claire Danes
Such a simple dress and yet it looks amazing on her.

Now for the ugly:

Leighton Meester
Y'all should know I absolutely adore her but I'm not a
fan of the dress matching her skin tone.
I just think she gets lost in the dress.

Scarlett Johansson

Emma Stone
Newly blonde haired and it looks like she's naked.
Good call.

Helena Bonham Carter
Love, Love, Loooove her.
She's wacky and so is her style.
But different colored shoes...

The Winter Classic

Not sure how many of my readers are hockey fans but let me tell you, I am a HUGE Pittsburgh Penguins fan. I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic this year. Basically it's a hockey game played outside and was held at Heinz Field (home of the Pittsburgh Steelers). It was a battle of arch enemies, the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. the Washington Capitals.  Being a Pens fan, I absolutely HATE the Caps. I can't stand them.

To build up the excitement of the Winter Classic, HBO followed the 2 teams around for a month to film HBO 24/7 The Road to the Winter Classic. It was a 4 part series that went behind the scenes and allowed you to get to know the players and their lives as hockey players. It was such a neat thing to watch and I never wanted it to end. Now all I can to is pray that HBO makes a DVD out of it!

Before the game, I went down to tailgate with my Dad, Big Brother, and cousins. We had so much fun and it is a day that I will never forget. Unfortunately the Penguins lost but... lets be honest, the Penguins are still the better team :)

absolutely LOVE this picture

my high school drum line performed while the teams
walked out onto the ice.

Look who I ran into a few days before the game...
the Pens' mascot, Iceberg!

The Pens have a game tonight against the Boston Bruins so I'm going to watch the game with a friend (a bruins fan... YUCK) but never the less it should be a lot of fun. LETS GO PENS!

Old Friends, New Year

I finally uploaded my pictures from New Years! I went to one of the local restaurants in my town that is known for their pizza and pasta. The restaurant even has a Wine Bar in the back, how cool! My friends and I ate a late dinner and celebrated way into the night. Cheers to the New Year!
